Q & A

How is the Book of the Believers different from all the other books on Islam out there?

Unlike other works, the Book of the Believers doesn’t attack Islam, nor is it a memoir of personal reflections.  At the other end of the spectrum, it also doesn’t blindly promote Islam based on bias understandings.

The work is woven with threads of alternative understandings of verse, divine inspiration,  sequence of dreams, and a fundamental pledge to uphold truth above any other consideration.

It is entirely unique in this sense – bold, honest and from the heart, with absolutely no bias to any agenda other than God’s will.

What is Kitab Al-Mu’minun?

It is the Arabic translation to Book of the Believers.

Who is the Book of the Believers written for?

It is directed to each and every single Muslim.  However, all others are welcome and are likely to find common ground in it.

Why this, why now?

In an age where nuclear armament is the big stick nations carry,
and weapons of destruction the means of communication for many terrorist-minded people convinced they are doing God’s will,
it becomes our human duty to ensure we take a truthful look at our predicament.

In this time, it becomes our calling to ascend to meet the wave of hypocrisy rising against true faith.

We are in the midst of giants at war, of faiths as old as the sands.

And in the sands of time, lies the grain of our generation.
A generation of billions of souls with infinite potential at the threshold of possibility,
ready for a new beginning, a brighter future as brilliant as a thousand suns.

A blazing future bursting with possibilities unimagined.
A future that is ours if and only if we begin to step out of darkness.

Why doesn’t chapter one carry a more personal narrative of you as a Muslim woman?
The aim of this work is not a focus on me or my life, and it’s already regrettable that any personalization was used to further the overall message.

The Book of the Believers is not about one Muslim woman.

It is about 1.5 billion Muslims.

Who is HSQ?

HSQ is an abbreviation of Shireen Qudosi.

Are you an expert on Islam?

No.  And I would seriously question anyone that refers to themselves as an expert.

Why write on Islam or Muslims if you’re not an expert?

Because you don’t have to be an expert to speak on something close to your heart.   Anyone that tells you otherwise is suffering from serious ego delusions.

I agree tht u dont have to be an expert to speak in writing about a subject close to our heart and a person who tells otherwise is indeed suffering from serious ego delusions.
